Woodwork Class - Make a Spoon, or Two
In this flexible woodwork class (fixed starting time) you'll learn how to carve a wooden spoon. Choose a design, learn how to gauge out the bowl, and then cut the shape both on a band saw and by hand. From there you'll learn various carving techniques with hand tools and how to sand and finish the spoon.
Leave this course with a spoon or two, and the skill to make many more on your own. Availability is limited to eight people per session. Class is held in our workshop at 1340 E Pender St. in Vancouver. Materials are supplied. This is an entry-level woodwork class designed for students with little or no experience.
Safety first!!! Please make sure you are well nourished and hydrated before class. Dress warm but no loose or baggy clothing/jewellery and bring a hair tie if you need it!
