Say hello to the Forest House by Envelope A+D. These crafty architects designed it with the question in mind, “What if the house was the forest?”. The concept came from their client’s desire to “live among the trees.” And who wouldn’t want that? To give up traffic jams and the damn Jones’ next door to live in a beautiful architectural home in northern California sounds like a little slice of paradise.
Besides being our version of a wet dream made of wood, what we love about the design is the configuration of the house. It was intentionally broken up into clusters of separate structures for each space. Doing this causes the occupant to have to go for a mini nature walk if they want to grab a snack from the kitchen while they chill in the living room.
