Back to Basics is a series of workshops we're hosting that will give you a chance to start working with your hands, pick up a few new skills, or make something all of your own!
Our two new workshops are with natural builders, Cré, and kitchen garden designer, Seed & Nourish.
Cré - Building a Natural Clay Oven
Spend two days getting your hands dirty while learning the basics of cob, natural building, and how to build a traditional, earthen, wood-fired oven! Covering both technique and theory, you will walk away with the confidence and inspiration to take on your own natural building project. We will also go over various principles of heat and fire, rocket stoves, and simple earthen stoves you can make while camping.

Seed & Nourish - Growing a Patio Garden
Whether you want to start your first garden, or you watched your plants wither and want a second chance at a green thumb, come to learn how to plant a winter garden for a carefree and nourishing growing experience. Carissa Kasper, kitchen garden designer & coach from Seed & Nourish, will guide you in creating your own small-space salad garden perfect for either your balcony, windowsill, or backyard. Carissa will teach you how to grow arugula, spinach, lettuce, kale and herbs for maximum fall and winter production. In this workshop, you will create a lush and beautiful garden in a handcrafted cedar planter to tend and nourish yourself from for months to come.
